Eczacıbaşı VitrA finished a week full of team exercises as the very first game of the season is only ten days ahead and the national team players are back on board.
Simge Aköz, Meliha İsmailoğlu and Beyza Arıcı, who play for the Turkish National Team, started the week with the routine check up before they joined the rest of the team. Our Korean spiker Yeon Koung Kim had her first ball practice at the club this week after the work out sessions with our Performance Department Supervisor Jose Inacio Neto in her first couple of days.
The Orange and Whites continued their regular preparations schedule right after the friendly tournament in Poland. Through the whole week, the team had early sessions based on work out and technical ball practices, while the afternoon trainings consisted of attack with the setters, attack after reception and a variety of 6-to-6 games.
Eczacıbaşı VitrA will continue its preparations for the season in full squad next week, with our captain Jordan Larson, our opposite player Tijana Boskovic, who has become the MVP of the World Championship and our middle blocker Lauren Gibbemeyer, who will have her first practice at the club.
